  • A subjective measurement of physical activity intensity that uses a numeric scale to rate exercise intensity.  Example:  How are you feeling on a scale of 1-10?

    Talk Test: a self-evaluation of intensity associated with the ability to talk while exercising

    Observation: Instructors monitoring body language and facial expressions of discomfort or intesity

  • It is strongly recommended all residents participate in fitness programming 3-5 times each week in order to maintain the physical as well as physiological benefits of our programs. 

    With this in mind our NASM Certified Instructors will provide, Cardiovascular, Resistance and Flexibility training with each class with a strong emphasis on base of support to prevent falls.

Accredited Group Fitness Instructors plan and lead ONLY group exercise classes.  They use hands-on leadership to guide our seniors in a group fitness setting.  Our skills and knowledge in Fitness Program Design, Motivational Coaching, Modification Options, Participant Interaction and Engagement, Adaptability to Diverse fitness levels help us engage, energize and retain participation.
